Tackling antisocial behaviour
Keeping neighbourhoods safe, clean and tidy
We know that dealing with antisocial behaviour and keeping our neighbourhoods clean and tidy is important to you, and it is one of our top priorities.
Antisocial behaviour (ASB) cases have remained high throughout 2022/23, and this mirrors a national post-pandemic trend.
Here’s a summary of the cases we have dealt with:
3,625
cases opened
3,224
cases resolved
These cases fall into one of the following categories:
Antisocial behaviour - 1,943
Estate management - 1,557
Tenancy fraud - 125
Our strategy for reducing antisocial behaviour
We’re working with other agencies to address ASB problems in our neighbourhoods. As a member of Resolve, the national ASB body, a member of the Be Safe partnership, and as member of Greater Manchester Community Safety and Wellbeing Group, we look to:
- Continue partnership working across Bolton to tackle crime and ASB and a prevention strategy.
- Support and campaign nationally to government for a specialist Housing Court.
- Support and campaign nationally to government for more powers Closure Orders for social landlords.
