Striving to ensure equality
We continue to review how we do things to ensure we create a work environment of equity as well as equality.
We’re currently reviewing our Recruitment Policy, training and assessments to make these more inclusive and for managers to be more skilled at looking beyond what they can see and recruiting from a well-rounded diverse candidate pool. We're reviewing and redesigning the Group Equality, diversity, and inclusion Strategy and Policy to strengthen staff engagement, customer support, and business responsiveness.
The Bring Your Best Self To Work cultural change programme has supported equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). We also leading on to more competency-based training with a focus of roles and responsibilities for all staff, and this also has a strong focus on EDI for all people.
We continue to support the LGBT+ community of Bolton with support and sponsorship, and for 2023, we have brought together the Bolton Deaf Society to support the Bolton Pride event, as a way to elevate and educate.
