Helping people pay their rent and sustain their tenancy

With the cost of living impacting on everyone’s financial circumstances, we’ve continued to help, support, and reassure those struggling to pay their rent.

We’ve helped people find ways to save, apply for income they might be missing out on, and make affordable rent agreements so tenancies are sustained.

We helped many people to put money back in their pocket through our money advice and employment support services.

Our commitment to you

The next 12 months will continue to be challenging with cost-of-living pressures, uncertainty around energy costs, and more people moving to Universal Credit in 2024. We will continue to support our tenants and work with colleagues and partners to ensure tenancies are sustained.

98.8% rent collected.

Saving our customers money – Janet’s story

Janet is a single mother of two young adult children with health issues. Working irregular hours affected her Universal Credit claim and neither of her sons had any income or benefits. Her debt was increasing and becoming unmanageable. Our Money Advice Team helped Janet enter a breathing space scheme and to claim benefits for herself and her two sons. We offered advice to address debts with council tax and utility bills. Janet now has regular monthly rent payments paid via direct debit, is continuing to work with our team, and has avoided court action.
