Four Million Homes: an opportunity to change social housing
The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) introduced Four Million Homes in April 2023. It’s aimed at the estimated four million people who live in social housing across the UK.
We support this initiative, designed to help social housing residents understand their rights and their landlord’s responsibilities, raise issues with their landlord, and shape and improve the services they receive and the homes they live in.
The Four Million Homes website provides information and guidance on a range of housing matters such as dealing with damp and mould, repairs, antisocial behaviour, and tenancy advice. It also provides free training courses, and which are held both online and in person.
There’s also an opportunity to join a Resident Sounding Board to ensure the ongoing development of Four Million Homes reflects residents’ views and concerns.
